WHY

In the Post-Covid situation, travelling has become difficult, many programs have been cancelled, and the financial situation makes it impossible for many people to attend regular schools and university programs. This is why we decided to offer a high-end training to help artists working in the field of visual storytelling to develop their photography or art project with us and get the right tools to start a career in this competitive field.

FOR WHOM

This program is for you if:
– you are working on a project but you are swimming in a sea of doubts and need some feedback or help to find your direction,
– you need help on finishing a project and finding the best way to present it (book, exhibition, installation, performance, etc.)
– you need help you with the concept, layout and the design of a
lens-based artistic project (including generative AI tools),
– you want to self-publish a book and you need guidance on production themes, such as how and where to print, which papers to use, how to bind the thing, etc. etc. And of course, on how to find a platform to distribute your work,
– you want to know more about the art market and/or the photography world, and need access to the international landscape of visual culture.

HOW

The Curator Ship Academy consists of four didactic modules and a Mentorship program. This program is complemented with talks, workshops, calls, exhibitions, portfolio reviews and meetings around the globe. This networking and dissemination aspect is just as important as the didactic aspects. In the end, it’s all about communicating our ideas, be it in digital, physical or inter-personal channels.
